Why does Kliken say no products were found in my WooCommerce store?

Kliken can only see WooCommerce products that are published. Check each product's Status, Visibility, and Catalog visibility to clear the no products found error.

Kliken reads your product catalog through the WooCommerce plugin, and a product only enters that catalog once it is published. If your products are saved as Draft or Pending review, or set to Private, Kliken cannot see them. Your campaign will show an error such as "no products found" or "can't find enabled products" even though the products exist in your store.

What each product needs

Three settings control whether a product is in your catalog. All three live in the Publish panel at the top right of the product editor.

  1. Status must be Published. Draft and Pending review products are not in your catalog.

  2. Visibility must be Public. Private and Password protected products are not available to Kliken.

  3. Catalog visibility must not be Hidden. Shop and search, Shop only, and Search only all work.

How to publish one product

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.

  2. Go to Products, then All Products.

  3. Find the product and click Edit.

  4. In the Publish panel, check Status. If it says Draft or Pending review, click Edit next to it, choose Published, then click OK.

  5. Check Visibility. If it is not Public, click Edit, choose Public, then click OK.

  6. Check Catalog visibility. If it says Hidden, click Edit, choose Shop and search, then click OK.

  7. Click Publish, or Update if the product was already published.

How to publish several products at once

  1. Go to Products, then All Products.

  2. Click the Draft or Pending link above the product list to see everything that is not published yet.

  3. Tick the checkbox next to each product you want to publish.

  4. Select Edit from the Bulk actions dropdown and click Apply.

  5. Set Status to Published.

  6. Click Update.

WooCommerce covers both methods in Adding and Managing Products and Bulk Editing Products.

After you publish

Kliken picks up your catalog on the next sync with your store. Once that runs, open your campaign in the Kliken app, return to the product or category selection step, and your published products will be listed.

Your products are published and Kliken still finds none

Work through these in order:

  1. The product has no image. Kliken cannot advertise a product without a product image. See WooCommerce: update my product image for a Shopping ad.

  2. Your site does not use HTTPS. Product URLs need a valid SSL certificate.

  3. Kliken’s access to your store was withdrawn. Confirm the Kliken plugin is still installed and active under Plugins, then reauthorize its access. Reauthorizing is quick and does not touch your campaigns. See How to reauthorize Kliken’s access to your WooCommerce store.

  4. Your campaign is pointed at a category that holds no published products. See Why are my ads not showing: no active products.

  5. Your site is refusing our requests. A firewall, a security plugin, or your hosting provider can block us without affecting your own visitors, and we then receive nothing instead of your catalog. See Kliken is blocked from your store’s API (no products found).

If none of those apply, contact us in Chat or at [email protected]. Send us your store URL, the full URL of one product you expect to see, the exact error text, and the name of your hosting provider plus any security plugin, firewall, or CDN in front of your site. That last one is the detail that tells us whether we are being blocked.
