Which Google Ads Product Is Right for Me?
Kliken offers two Google Ads products — Google Shopping and Google Search Ads. The right one depends on your business type.
What is Google Shopping?
Google Shopping gets your products in front of shoppers actively searching on Google. It includes two components that work together:
Google Product Listings (free) Your products appear in Google's Shopping tab at no cost per click. Unlimited Product Listing campaigns are included in your monthly platform fee, and there's no per-click charge. This gives your store baseline visibility across Google's Shopping tab.
When Product Listings may not be enough: Because they're free, Google controls where and how often your listings appear. In competitive categories, paid Shopping ads from other retailers will take priority in search results, which can limit your visibility. If you're in a crowded market, running Performance Max alongside your free listings will give you significantly more reach.
Google Shopping — Performance Max (paid) A paid campaign that shows your products across Google Search results, the Shopping tab, YouTube, Gmail, and the Display Network. You choose a monthly ad budget (starting from $150 or equivalent) and pay per click. Performance Max uses Google's AI to automatically optimize where and when your ads appear to drive the best results.
Most Kliken Google Shopping customers run both — free Product Listings for broad visibility, and Performance Max for targeted, high-intent traffic.
Google Shopping is the right choice if you:
Run an online store selling physical products
Have an active product catalog with images and pricing
Use a supported platform like WooCommerce, Ecwid, or Wix
Want ads that show your actual products to shoppers ready to buy
What is Google Search Ads?
Google Search Ads show text-based ads when customers search for keywords related to your business — appearing at the top of Google Search results.
Google Search Ads is the right choice if you:
Offer a service rather than a physical product (e.g. plumbing, consulting, fitness)
Don't have a product catalog or e-commerce store (you can sign up directly via Kliken)
Want to reach customers actively searching for what you do
I'm still not sure — which one should I pick?
A simple rule: if you sell products, choose Google Shopping. If you sell services, choose Google Search Ads. If you do both, you can run both products through Kliken.
