When you create a campaign under Google Ads in your Kliken account, the first step asks where to send visitors. Kliken loads that address from our own servers to check that it works. If it does not, you see this:
That website could not be found. Please correct any typos, add appropriate endings (.com, .org, etc.) and enter it again. If the website has not been published yet, please do so before creating a campaign.
You might also describe this as Kliken not accepting your web address, saying your site does not exist, or rejecting the URL. It is the same check, and usually the address is right: something in front of your site is turning us away.
Google Shopping and Google Product Listings take your web address from your store, so that step, and this error, only appear when you are setting up Google Ads.
Is the address itself correct?
Try it with and without www. Some sites answer on only one of the two.
Paste it into a new browser tab. If it does not load for you, it will not load for us.
Why can Kliken not load a site that works in my browser?
We visit your site from our own servers, not from your computer, so anything that filters traffic can turn us away while letting your customers through. Work through these in order:
A firewall or security service is blocking us. The most common cause. Cloudflare, a security plugin, bot protection or your host's firewall can all refuse our request. Whitelist our IP addresses, below.
The site is not published yet. A coming soon or maintenance page gives us nothing to load.
The site is password protected or behind a login. We are not signed in, so it looks empty to us.
The SSL certificate is missing, expired or does not match the domain. A certificate warning in your own browser is your answer.
The domain does not resolve yet. A domain registered or moved in the last day or two may still be propagating, for up to 48 hours. If it has been longer than that, your domain is not the problem, so work through the other causes here.
The address redirects somewhere we cannot follow. A redirect loop, or a redirect to a blocked domain, ends the same way.
Which IP addresses do I need to whitelist?
Allow all six of these:

If your site is behind Cloudflare, how to whitelist Kliken IPs on Cloudflare walks through it screen by screen. Any other provider works the same way: add these addresses to the allow list of whatever filters your traffic. Your hosting provider or web developer can do this, and can check the firewall log for these addresses around the time you tried.
What if I do not have a website?
