Why is Google asking me to verify my business?

Google requires advertisers to verify their business identity to ensure transparency and build trust in ads across its platforms.

When your account is ready for verification, Kliken will notify you directly, either through an in-app chat message or an email, containing a unique link to begin the process with Google.

You’ll complete verification securely on Google’s site, where you’ll confirm your business details and upload any required documentation.

Quick Facts

Question

Answer

Do I have to complete verification?

Yes. Google requires all advertisers to verify their identity.

Will this affect billing or payments?

No. You’ll continue to pay Kliken directly. Google bills Kliken, not you.

Who reviews my documents?

Google. You upload them on Google’s own site through the link we send you. Kliken only sees a document if you send it to us, for example when you ask us for help with a rejection.

How will I know when to verify?

Kliken will contact you via chat or email with a secure Google verification link.

What happens if I don’t verify?

Google sets a deadline and tells you what it is. If you miss it, Google may restrict some of your ads, and may pause your account until verification is complete.

What is Google’s Advertiser Verification?

Google’s Advertiser Verification is part of Google’s effort to make advertising more transparent. It asks advertisers to verify their identity, or their business’s identity, with appropriate documents. The goal is to confirm that you, as the advertiser, are who you say you are.

Even though Kliken manages and operates your campaigns, you are the advertiser, so these Google requirements apply to you directly. Google must verify your identity to make sure your advertising on its platform is legitimate and trustworthy.

Questions about your business operations

As part of verification, Google may also ask questions about how your business operates, such as what you sell, who your customers are, how you deliver, the content of your ads and how you plan to use Google Ads. If Google asks, we’ll contact you and help you answer.

Why Google Requires Verification

Google’s verification program helps users understand who is advertising and why.

It is part of a broader effort to make digital advertising more transparent and trustworthy. Verification allows Google to:

  • Confirm who is behind an ad.

  • Display a verified business name and location in the “About this advertiser” section.

  • Prevent misuse, impersonation, and deceptive activity.

By verifying your business, you help maintain a safe and credible ad environment that benefits all advertisers and users.

What Happens After Submission?

Review times vary. Once Google has made a decision, it can take up to 5 business days for your verification status to update. In some cases, Google may ask for more information before it can finish. If that happens, our team at Kliken will contact you to help resolve it. We know this can be frustrating, and we do our best to make the process as direct and easy as possible.

What Happens If You Don’t Verify

Google sets the deadline for verification and tells you what it is. If you miss it, Google may restrict some of your ads, and may pause your account until verification is complete. Kliken cannot bypass or override these requirements, as they are enforced directly by Google. Completing verification promptly keeps your ads running without interruption.

If you decide not to proceed with the verification, you may be eligible for a refund in accordance with our Cancellation and Refund Policy. Please contact us for more information.
