Fixing Advertiser Verification Document Issues

Document submission issues can lead to delays or rejection when verifying your Google Ads account. Follow this guide to fix common problems and complete verification successfully.

Common Issues & How to Fix Them

1. Address Mismatch

Issue: The address on your submitted document doesn’t match your Google Ads account.
Fix: Ensure your business address is up to date in your store details, and that the document you are providing matches that address.

2. Business Name Mismatch

Issue: The business name on your document doesn’t match your business name on your Google Ads account.
Fix: Ensure your legal business name is identical across your documents and payments profile. Update your account if needed.

3. Blurry or Low-Quality Documents

Issue: The submitted document is blurry, cropped, or has poor lighting OR the file size is to small.
Fix: Upload a clear, high-resolution image where all text is legible. Include the full document, avoiding glare or shadows. The files MUST be at least 19kb in size, and no larger than 20mb.

4. Incomplete Document Submission

Issue: A required multi-page or double-sided document is missing pages.
Fix: Submit all pages of the document, ensuring both sides are included if required.

5. Expired or Invalid Documents

Issue: The document is expired or too old to be accepted.
Fix: Provide a valid, up-to-date document that meets Google's requirements.

6. Unsupported Document Type

Issue: The submitted document is not on Google’s approved list for verification.
Fix: Check Google’s accepted documents list and submit a supported document.

7. Country Mismatch in Payments Profile

Issue: The country on your submitted document does not match the Company profile.
Fix: Ensure the country you selected on the drop-down menu to confirm the required documents are the same country as where your business is registered.

8. Account Type Mismatch

Issue: Your provided details for an "Individual", but your document lists a business (or vice versa).
Fix: Ensure the documents provided reflect the correct account type. If changes are needed, contact our team.

Best Practices for Faster Approval

Use high-quality scans or photos – Ensure all text is readable.
Submit the correct document type – Only provide Google-approved documents.
Match details exactly – The name, address, and country should be the same across your documents and Google Ads profile.

By following these steps, you can prevent delays and successfully complete advertiser verification.
