1. Google Keyword Match Types

The match types we enable are part of Google’s advertising platform. Here’s how they work:

  • Phrase Match: Ads appear when searches include your keywords or close variations with the same intent.
Example: If your keyword is “running shoes,” your ad could show for searches like “best running shoes” or “comfortable running shoes.”

  • Exact Match: Ads appear only when a search exactly matches your keyword or has the same meaning.
Example: For the keyword [running shoes], your ad will show for searches like “running shoes” or “shoes for running.”

  • Broad Match Modified (BMM): A variation of Broad Match where specific words must appear in the search query. BMM is indicated by a plus sign (+) before required keywords.
Example: +running +shoes → triggers ads for “buy running shoes” but not “best athletic gear.”

2. Why We Use Google’s Match Types

Google’s match types help you reach the right audience based on search intent. By enabling these match types, Kliken helps ensure:

  • Relevance: Ads are shown to users whose searches align closely with your keywords.

  • Efficiency: Focused targeting reduces irrelevant clicks and improves return on investment (ROI).

  • Flexibility: Google’s options balance broad reach with precise targeting.

3. How Keywords Affect Your Campaign

The keywords applied to your campaign directly influence:

  • Ad Visibility: Matching the right keywords ensures your ads appear to high-intent audiences.

  • Performance: Well-matched keywords drive higher click-through rates (CTR) and conversions.

  • Budget Efficiency: Targeting relevant searches helps you make the most of your ad spend.

Kliken automatically passes these match types through Google’s platform to optimize your campaign performance.
