Google Customer Reviews is part of the Google Merchant Center Growth programs. It is a free tool available within the Google Merchant Center, but it is currently not provided as part of our services. However, you can still set this up by following the instructions below.

You can also visit Google’s help center for more assistance.

Steps to Enable Google Customer Reviews

  1. Log in to your Google Merchant Center account

    • Ensure you're using the account associated with your campaigns. If you did not import your own Merchant Center account and you have not yet added yourself to the account we created for you, you can do so under Google Shopping → Manage → Edit (pencil icon by your Active Campaign).

    • Note: You must use a valid Google Account to access Google Merchant Center.

  2. Access the 'Add-ons' Section

    • Click on the Settings & tools icon in the upper-right corner.

    • Select Add-ons from the menu.

  3. Activate Google Customer Reviews

    • Under the Discover tab, find the Google Customer Reviews add-on card.

    • Click Activate to proceed.

  4. Agree to the Program Terms

    • Carefully review the Google Customer Reviews agreement.

    • Click Agree and continue to accept the terms.

  5. Integrate the Survey Opt-in Module

    • Google requires a technical integration to begin collecting reviews.

    • You must add the JavaScript code provided by Google to your website’s order confirmation page. This code enables the survey opt-in feature, allowing customers to provide feedback after completing a purchase.

    • For more information on implementing the survey opt-in module, visit Google's integration guide.

Additional Notes

We are actively exploring ways to provide a more automated and streamlined solution for this program and will update this article when more features become available.

In the meantime, you can take advantage of Google Customer Reviews by following the steps above. If you need help integrating the survey opt-in module (step #5), we recommend consulting your web developer or the person managing your website.
