How many images can a Social Boost post have?

Each Social Boost post publishes with one image. How to choose between several loaded images, and what happens to the rest.

Each Social Boost post publishes with one image. You can load more than one image while you are building a post so you can compare your options, but only the image that is selected when the post publishes goes out to Facebook and Instagram. Social Boost does not publish carousel or multi-image posts.

Where your post images come from

Where your post images come from depends on your Social Boost plan.

  • Social Boost Services takes images from the website address you gave at signup or when the series was generated, and it can also generate an image with AI.

  • Social Boost Shopping always starts from the image on the specific product in your store catalog.

On either plan you can change the image on a post before it publishes, and any image you add has to meet the Social Boost file type, dimension, and file size limits. See Social Boost image requirements: file types, dimensions, and file size.

Loading several images and choosing one

Images you load stay available in the Social Boost post editor while the post is still scheduled, so you can swap the post image as many times as you like right up until it publishes. Treat the extra images as a shortlist rather than as extra slides in the same post: whichever image is selected when the post publishes is the one your followers see. Once the post publishes, the images you did not use are removed.

Social Boost does not store your images

Social Boost has no image library. Nothing you load is kept for reuse on a later post, so keep your own copy of any image you might want again.

Why did only one of my images publish?

Publishing one image is how Social Boost works, and it is not an error. Loading four images into the Social Boost post editor does not create a four-image post, and it does not create four separate posts. One post carries one image.

Can I change the image after the post has published?

No, the image on a published Social Boost post cannot be changed. Once a post publishes, its image is fixed, and the other images you had loaded are gone. If you want a different image out there, create a new post with it.

How to get several images out

To publish several images, give each image its own post. A Social Boost series holds up to 10 posts, so a single series can carry up to 10 images, one per post. Your posting cadence, every 1, 3, or 5 days, sets how far apart they publish. If your posts come from your store catalog, adding a post for each product image works the same way.
