Kliken's Billing Cycle Explained
At Kliken, we want to make sure our customers understand how our billing system works. Our billing operates on a thirty (30) day, recurring cycle. But what does this mean for you? Let's break it down.
First Charge
The first charge occurs when you purchase a campaign. This initial charge includes your platform fee (if applicable) and your campaign. This means that you will be paying for your first campaign and any applicable platform fees at the time of purchase.
Recurring Charges
After your initial purchase, your platform fee and campaign will have payments processed every 30 days going forward. This means you will be charged for your platform fee and campaign every 30 days until you cancel your campaign.
If you have a product which only requires a Platform Fee (e.g. Google Product Listings, or Google Business Profile), you will NOT be rebilled until your campaign is active. That is, your billing date will be pushed out to be thirty (30) days from the date your campaign is APPROVED. However, once approved - it will continued to be billed until you cancel your campaign.
If you have a product that has advertising spend, your billing cycle is every thirty (30) days, but will take into consideration the level of ad credits you have spent. If you have used more than 50% of your ad credits, you will be rebilled for ad credits at the 30-day mark. If you have used less than 50% of your ad credits, you will not be rebilled for ad credits - and your next bill date will be set to be the next 30-day date. You will however be rebilled for your platform fee during this time.
Multiple Campaigns
If you have multiple campaigns, the billing process is slightly different. When you purchase your first campaign, you will be charged for the platform fee and that specific campaign. However, subsequent campaign purchases will only charge you for the campaign itself. This means that your platform fee (and first campaign) will be billed every 30 days, while your other campaigns will be billed on a 30-day basis from the date of their purchase.
Failed Billing
What happens when a billing attempt fails? If, on Day 30, your billing attempt is unsuccessful, we will try again on Day 32. If the second attempt is successful, your next bill date will be on Day 60, not Day 62. This is because your billing date is still based on your first bill date, which was on Day 1.
Conclusion
In summary, failed billing attempts will not affect your billing dates. Your billing date is set based on your first bill date, and will remain the same even if a billing attempt fails.
